Aleksandra Lazić, a climate activist with an International Relations background from the University of Belgrade, has long been dedicated to creating positive change. Actively involved in organizations like the UN Association of Serbia and the European Youth Parliament, she’s focused on climate change and human rights. Notably, she coordinated SDG initiatives at the first LCOY in Serbia and represented Serbia’s youth at COP 28. Her commitment extends to organizations like Young Leaders in Energy and Sustainability, where she participated in COP 27 as a youth delegate, engaging with global leaders like Frans Timmermans. Recognized for her activism, she spoke at the Global Youth Sustainability Summit and pursued non-formal education through seminars and courses. Her alignment with EU values led her to volunteer at the European Movement in Serbia. Passionate about public policy, she completed transformative fellowships and played a pivotal role in drafting European-level policies for sustainable energy access. Currently, as a Project Coordinator at Libek, she continues to advocate for sustainability while managing projects involving government and industry representatives. Fluent in English and German, she’s also learning Spanish, driven by her dedication to diplomacy, sustainability, and combating climate change.
