Danijel Bačan is a doctoral student in geography at the University of Zagreb and a student of international relations and diplomacy at the Faculty of Political Science. He previously completed a master’s degree in spatial planning and regional development and a teacher’s degree in geography. His scientific specialization is political geography, the Western Balkans, the NATO Alliance and demographic issues. He is the author of ten scientific articles and publications. He currently works as a geography professor. He is the chairman of the Brdovec Municipality Youth Council and the president of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Croatia. Danijel is also a Croatian delegate in the Committee for Local and Regional Affairs of the Council of Europe and a young European ambassador in the EU Eastern Partnership. He actively participates in the life of his local community, encouraging young people to engage in social activities and involvement.
